Sound Art Installation

George P. Johnson Experience Marketing worked with Cisco to develop an installation called “Sound Art” as part of the Social Hub inside the World of Solutions for Cisco Live 2024. Designed to artfully showcase that every voice counts and matters, attendees gave their rallying cries and shout-outs into a microphone and watched as their voices transformed into beautiful visuals on layered transparent LEDs in real-time. This installation also served as a unique and engaging photo opportunity for CL24 attendees.
As the lead creative technologist for GPJ, I worked closely with the GPJ creative team to design the experience and its visual identity. I wrote all the software for this project in TouchDesigner. I traveled to Los Angeles, CA to test content on the LED screens in order to design thoughtful, intentional visuals that worked within the limitations of this unique hardware rather than against it. I then traveled onsite to Las Vegas, NV to install the experience and maintained it during the entire run of show.
