Description
I created a storyboard animation sequence for an imagined production of the Grimms' Brothers short story, "King Thrushbeard." I used images and videos to enhance live performers who are presenting the story as readers theatre. I designed simple backgrounds with hints of video to create dynamic environments in which performers could tell the story for all age groups. I created this storyboard using Isadora and Adobe Photoshop in October 2018.
THEA 461: Intro to Media Design was a studio course focused on the skills of creating programmed images for live performance of dance, theatre, and music theatre. Development of technical skills was paralleled with an understanding of the relationship of projected images to text, performer, space, and time.
