“This was the schoolroom of the children of the rocket men and women who had come to a raining world to live out their lives.”

Description

I created a storyboard animation sequence for an imagined production of Ray Bradbury's short story "All Summer in a Day." I told the story through projected images and videos inside a geodesic dome to mimic the children’s space station on Venus. I created this storyboard using Isadora and Adobe Photoshop in November 2018.

THEA 461: Intro to Media Design was a studio course focused on the skills of creating programmed images for live performance of dance, theatre, and music theatre. Development of technical skills was paralleled with an understanding of the relationship of projected images to text, performer, space, and time.
